THE STADIUM
polytec Stadium is situated in Gosford, located within the scenic Central Coast area, on the corner of Dane Drive and Central Coast Highway (formerly Pacific Highway) and has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most picturesque venues and upon viewing the idyllic waterfront stadium, it is easy to see why.
The construction of the Stadium was completed in February 2000, bringing to Gosford a premier multi-functional facility overlooking the beautiful Brisbane Waters.
With a total capacity of 20,059, the Stadium has played host to many major events. These include international Rugby Union, National Rugby League and National A-League Football matches. The stadium has also hosted boxing, motocross and open-air rock concerts as well as being the home of a multitude local sporting and community events.
The arrival of the Central Coast Mariners in 2005/06 provided the sporting public of the Central Coast with their first exclusively owned and nationally exposed sporting team. Consequently, the Mariners became the first team of Australia-wide profile to be permanently based at the Stadium.
In 2014, management rights of the stadium reverted back to Gosford City Council after John Singleton concluded his 14 year management lease on the stadium on January 31 2014.
December 31 2013 also marked the conclusion of Bluetongue Brewery naming rights sponsorship and the name of the Stadium reverted to Central Coast Stadium.
As of 1 July 2022, VenuesLive commenced as the new operator for Central Coast Stadium.
On Tuesday 1 July 2025, polytec was unveiled as the official naming rights partner of polytec Stadium.
