Blockbuster NRL Line-Up Announced for polytec Stadium in 2026

A stunning 2026 calendar of events is taking shape at polytec Stadium on the Central Coast, with NRL fans especially well catered for.

The NRL has announced the official season draw for 2026 with both the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs confirming they will each bring one regular-season home game to polytec Stadium.

But the action will start even before the season proper gets underway, with polytec Stadium to host an NRL Pre-Season Challenge Double-Header on Saturday 21 February.

The Sydney Roosters have made the Central Coast their home away from home, developing a strong pathways system on the Coast.

The Roosters’ game against Parramatta Eels in Round 3 of the NRL Pre-Season Challenge will be the highlight of the early-season double-header at polytec Stadium.

And local hero Nicho Hynes, of Umina Beach Bunnies fame, will lead the Cronulla Sharks against last year’s minor premiers Canberra Raiders in the other pre-season game.

The Sydney Roosters will bring their Round 10 NRL regular-season game against Gold Coast Titans to polytec Stadium on Friday 8 May, with a family-friendly 6pm kick-off.

Standby for further confirmation of two NRLW Sydney Roosters matches for polytec Stadium. Who will ever forget Central Coast local Jocelyn Kelleher kicking a match-winning field goal for the Sydney Roosters in last year’s Qualifying Final at polytec Stadium – enabling the Roosters to progress to the Grand Final and eventually take out the NRLW title.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs will bring their Round 3 regular-season NRL game against Wests Tigers to polytec Stadium on Saturday 21 March (7:30pm).

There is already much speculation that this could be the game in which flying winger Alex Johnston breaks the all-time record for tries in the NRL. AJ needs just three more to break legendary Ken Irvine’s seemingly invincible tally of 212 tries.
